Use this teaching guide for unmounted HorseSense lessons that help students learn how to judge a horse’s conformation and how to identify structural traits of common horse breeds.
Students will practice accurately pointing out features of a horse’s conformation, including positives as well as conformation faults. Students should be able to describe conformation traits for specific breeds and explain how this structure determines the riding disciplines that are appropriate for each breed.
