Summer day camps are a great way to promote your lesson program!
We'll help you get started with our free HorseSense Sample Camp Schedules — and eventually we'll have detailed planners and helpful tips for different types of beginner summer camps.
Specialty camps have an in-depth focus on a specific riding discipline or unmounted theme.
Look for free schedules in the HorseSense Summer Horse Camp Schedules, including Eventing Camp, Horse Sports Camp, Mounted Games Camp, and Quadrille Camp. Lesson plans for a bunch of specialty camps are in the works!
Level Up camps are for the current students in your lesson program, designed to help those students check off Learning Levels objectives in a fun group atmosphere.
For now, we have a Sample Level Up Camp Schedule you can adapt for your own use. Detailed camp planners are in the Pipeline.
Level Up Clinics can be held throughout the year to boost your students' progress through the Learning Levels curriculum.
These 4-hour clinics allow students to demonstrate skills and knowledge for Levels objectives checkmarks. Use our Level Up Clinics Sample Schedule to design your own clinics... more detailed clinic planners are in the Pipeline.
Use our detailed planner to create a Halloween mounted games tournament that could become a successful and popular tradition in your riding lesson program.
Make sure you also download our list of Trick or Treat Games, which includes rules for safe play and suggestions for constructing equipment.
A lot of our obstacle courses and worksheets and games were originally created for use in summer camps and Level Up clinics, so you'll find all kinds of time-saving teaching materials to download from the Resource Center.
As time allows, we'll add ideas and instructions for a popular camp tradition: horsey crafts!
Don't forget to end your camps with public recognition of your campers' experience.
Print our customizable Camp Award Certificates and award them with fanfare — then welcome those students back to camp every year!
