Scavenger Hunt – At The Feed Store – Orange Level

Learning Levels Downloads

Helpful information about this resource:

Use this equine nutrition scavenger hunt as an unmounted teaching game for lessons, camps, or clinics.

Scavenger hunts have a list of items – in this case, hay, grain, and supplements – that students/teams must find. Students can search for items in memorable field trip to your local feed store, or they can simply look through your barn’s feed room.

Customize as needed, then just print a copy of the list for each team, and a copy of master score sheet for the instructor. Also includes a page of game rules and tips for organizing the game, with suggestions for items that you don’t have available.

PRO TIP: If you don’t have access to a printer, you could open the PDF file on your phone or tablet, then call out the items to your teams and have them find one item at a time.

We’ve been blessed with many talented photographers over the years: students who voluntarily stood in sweltering/ freezing arenas, capturing lifelong memories of lessons, camps and shows. We’re grateful to all of them!

One former student, Delaney Witbrod, is now a professional photographer with a gift for animal portraits – see more of her fine work here. We’re also grateful for photos of Western riding donated by LLPro instructors – particularly Bit of Pleasure Horse School and Joyful Hearts Photography!

You’ll find illustrations throughout our online courses and printed materials graciously donated by our friend Rhonda Hagy. Evan Surrusco contributes additional illustrations and handles most of our photo processing. Contact us for information about their work.
