Arena BINGO – Yellow Level Horsemanship – Western

Learning Levels Downloads

Helpful information about this resource:

Bring your BINGO games to the arena – and test important Yellow Level Horsemanship objectives – with these printable BINGO cards for students in beginner Western riding lessons.

We suggest using Arena BINGO in one of three different ways:

  • Play a casual game to liven up review periods at the beginning or end of the lesson. Students can choose their own BINGO card and skills to demonstrate, with the goal of completing 5 in a row. The instructor holds the cards and marks off skills for each rider.
  • Pair with Horsemanship Progress Sheets to check off Yellow Level objectives during a Level Up clinic or evaluation day.
  • Use the cards as prompts for a rainy day indoor lesson on arena skills, with students mounted on hobbyhorses!
  • Need more ideas? Look through Chapter 37: Rainy Day “Riding” Lessons in The Big Book of Barn Lessons!

The file contains 6 printable BINGO cards, the Master List, and a page of instructions and tips for variations.

Thanks to instructor Kaylee Dodson, Abbotsford Park Riding Centre, NSW, Australia, for the suggestion!

We’ve been blessed with many talented photographers over the years: students who voluntarily stood in sweltering/ freezing arenas, capturing lifelong memories of lessons, camps and shows. We’re grateful to all of them!

One former student, Delaney Witbrod, is now a professional photographer with a gift for animal portraits – see more of her fine work here. We’re also grateful for photos of Western riding donated by LLPro instructors – particularly Bit of Pleasure Horse School and Joyful Hearts Photography!

You’ll find illustrations throughout our online courses and printed materials graciously donated by our friend Rhonda Hagy. Evan Surrusco contributes additional illustrations and handles most of our photo processing. Contact us for information about their work.
