Student Record and Progress Review

Learning Levels Downloads

Helpful information about this resource:

Keep accurate, detailed records of your students’ progress in mounted riding lessons and unmounted barn and ground training lessons using our printable Learning Levels Student Record and Progress Review.

The single-page Student Records were requested by LLPro instructors who wanted a way to record notes about students along with an overview of their progress through the Levels. Combine this form with our Progress Sheets or Progress Booklets to have all the detailed information you need about each student when planning lessons – and an easy, comprehensive way to communicate those details with other instructors in your program!

Instructors also asked for an evaluation form (similar to a school report card) that they could give to students. So we designed a Progress Review form with checklists and space for comments about students’ accomplishments and upcoming goals. Progress Reviews are ideal for use at the end of every lesson block, or after Level Up camps and clinics – or anytime you want to help students (and parents) understand the progression and stay motivated.

We’ve been blessed with many talented photographers over the years: students who voluntarily stood in sweltering/ freezing arenas, capturing lifelong memories of lessons, camps and shows. We’re grateful to all of them!

One former student, Delaney Witbrod, is now a professional photographer with a gift for animal portraits – see more of her fine work here. We’re also grateful for photos of Western riding donated by LLPro instructors – particularly Bit of Pleasure Horse School and Joyful Hearts Photography!

You’ll find illustrations throughout our online courses and printed materials graciously donated by our friend Rhonda Hagy. Evan Surrusco contributes additional illustrations and handles most of our photo processing. Contact us for information about their work.
