Progress Booklet – Horsemanship

Learning Levels Downloads

Helpful information about this resource:

Handy little tool for keeping track of each riding student’s progress.

This printable booklet contains all of the Horsemanship objectives for Red-Teal Levels in the Learning Levels mounted equine curriculum, formatted as checklists.

A page of printing instructions is included.

We check off an objective once a student has demonstrated sufficient knowledge and skills for that objective.

Pro-Tip: We keep the official booklets for each student in our office, and only give copies to those students who request it – because you can plan on them losing their copies!

PRINT TIPS

This PDF file is formatted for two-sided landscape desktop printing on 8.5 x 11” paper or light card stock.

5 pages

256 KB

Make sure your printer software is set for “landscape” page orientation – and not set to “shrink to fit”!

Use duplex printing (on both sides of the paper) and fold pages to form an 8-page booklet. We also add two staples close to the folded edge.

For best results, we suggest using 24-lb bright white paper stock. Thinner copy paper may not work well for two-sided printing.

Pro Tip: Make your life easier by printing a BUNCH of these at a time!

We’ve been blessed with many talented photographers over the years: students who voluntarily stood in sweltering/ freezing arenas, capturing lifelong memories of lessons, camps and shows. We’re grateful to all of them!

One former student, Delaney Witbrod, is now a professional photographer with a gift for animal portraits – see more of her fine work here. We’re also grateful for photos of Western riding donated by LLPro instructors – particularly Bit of Pleasure Horse School and Joyful Hearts Photography!

You’ll find illustrations throughout our online courses and printed materials graciously donated by our friend Rhonda Hagy. Evan Surrusco contributes additional illustrations and handles most of our photo processing. Contact us for information about their work.
