Level Up Mini-Quiz – Red Level Horsemanship – Western

Learning Levels Downloads

Helpful information about this resource:

Our Red Level Horsemanship Level Up Mini-Quiz is designed for equine quiz games and student self-study, with one page of questions for each mounted Western Horsemanship objective. Students can find answers in the Learning Levels Study Guides, using the provided page numbers.

We revised our quizzes in 2025, condensing them to cover the important concepts, terminology and facts in a format that makes it easier for students to learn – and for instructors to teach!

Whenever possible, you should assess your students’ unmounted knowledge through a mix of practical activities in the saddle, fun learning games in the barn, and interactive discussion that encourages critical thinking. That said, it can occasionally be helpful to have a list of quiz questions for Horsemanship objectives.

Add this mini-quiz to the study questions found on the last page of every study guide for a full set of essential questions for quiz bowl games.

106 questions in this set.

We’ve been blessed with many talented photographers over the years: students who voluntarily stood in sweltering/ freezing arenas, capturing lifelong memories of lessons, camps and shows. We’re grateful to all of them!

One former student, Delaney Witbrod, is now a professional photographer with a gift for animal portraits – see more of her fine work here. We’re also grateful for photos of Western riding donated by LLPro instructors – particularly Bit of Pleasure Horse School and Joyful Hearts Photography!

You’ll find illustrations throughout our online courses and printed materials graciously donated by our friend Rhonda Hagy. Evan Surrusco contributes additional illustrations and handles most of our photo processing. Contact us for information about their work.
