This worksheet is designed to help students keep a HorseCentered perspective – and to put horse before sport – by making a promise to the horses in their lives.
The exercise encourages students to consider what it means to be a true partner and leader. We like to incorporate it into Pink Level ground training lessons, or more advanced Gold Level lessons based around ethics in training – but it could be a valuable addition to introductory horsemanship courses or beginner lessons as well!
Students can simply discuss and sign the pledge, or use it as a starting point and create their own.
